Adani Power Limited ( (IN:ADANIPOWER) ) just unveiled an update.
Adani Power Limited has expanded its nuclear energy footprint with the incorporation of Rawatbhata-Raj Atomic Energy Limited, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary formed under its existing unit Adani Atomic Energy Limited. The new entity, established in India on April 20, 2026 with an authorised capital of Rs. 5 lakh, will focus on generating, transmitting and distributing power from nuclear and atomic energy sources, signalling Adani Power’s strategic push into nuclear-based power and further diversification of its generation mix.
RRAEL is fully held by Adani Atomic Energy Limited, which in turn is wholly owned by Adani Power, ensuring complete control over the new vehicle within the group structure. While immediate operational details are limited, the move underpins Adani Power’s long-term ambition to participate in India’s nuclear energy build-out, potentially enhancing its growth prospects and reinforcing its presence in regulated, capital-intensive segments of the power sector.
