The latest update is out from Agilent ( (A) ).

At its March 18, 2026 annual meeting, Agilent stockholders approved a Fourth Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation to declassify the board of directors over three years, and the board adopted corresponding Fourth Amended and Restated Bylaws effective March 19, 2026, including provisions allowing director removal with or without cause once the board is fully declassified at the 2029 annual meeting. These governance changes, backed by strong shareholder support, mark a shift toward a more annually accountable board structure that may be viewed favorably by investors focused on corporate governance, while stockholders also elected four directors for three-year terms, approved executive compensation in an advisory vote, and ratified PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as independent auditor for fiscal 2026.

A total of 250,281,785 shares, about 88% of shares outstanding, were represented at the annual meeting, underscoring robust shareholder participation in the governance decisions. The proposal to declassify the board received overwhelming support, aligning Agilent with prevailing corporate governance practices that emphasize director accountability and potentially enhancing the company’s appeal to institutional shareholders.

Spark’s Take on A Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, A is a Neutral.

The score reflects solid underlying financial profitability and supportive FY26 guidance (including higher EPS outlook and planned margin expansion), partially offset by margin/cash-flow softness. The biggest drag is weak technical momentum with the stock trading below major moving averages, while valuation appears somewhat premium for the current setup.
