AbCellera Biologics ( (ABCL) ) has issued an update.
On June 17, 2026, Jazz Pharmaceuticals and AbCellera Biologics announced a preclinical research collaboration, option and license agreement to discover and develop next-generation T-cell engaging multispecific antibodies for multiple gastrointestinal cancers and other solid tumors. The deal includes $56 million in upfront payments to AbCellera for two initial programs, an additional $28 million upon starting a third program, and potential option fees and milestone payments of up to $792 million per program, positioning AbCellera as a key discovery partner while giving Jazz exclusive worldwide rights to develop and commercialize any resulting therapies.
The collaboration will leverage AbCellera’s fully integrated T-cell engager platform, which spans discovery through clinical manufacturing and incorporates proprietary CD3-binding antibodies, costimulatory targeting arms, and high-throughput functional assays to generate optimized development candidates. For stakeholders, the agreement deepens Jazz’s oncology and GI cancer pipeline in line with its rare disease strategy and provides AbCellera with significant non-dilutive funding, potential royalty streams, and expanded exposure in the solid tumor immunotherapy space, with the option for both companies to add further programs and IND-enabling and clinical supply activities over time.

Spark’s Take on ABCL Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, ABCL is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by weak financial performance (large losses and negative cash flow), partially offset by a conservatively financed balance sheet. The earnings call adds support due to strong liquidity and clear near-term clinical milestones, while technicals are moderately constructive and valuation is constrained by negative earnings and no stated dividend yield.
