Asahi Group Holdings ( (JP:2502) ) has shared an announcement.
Asahi Group Holdings has delayed its fiscal 2025 earnings announcement after a Japan-based cyberattack disrupted its systems, and is providing interim business updates from regions largely unaffected by the outage. The company reports that while Europe’s 2025 revenue fell 2.5% amid weak demand and adverse weather, core operating profit still edged up thanks to better product and price mixes and cost controls, with plans for mid-single-digit revenue growth and modest profit gains in 2026 driven by higher pricing and expansion of non-alcohol adult beverages.
In Asia Pacific, revenue grew 3.7% in 2025 but missed targets due to slower demand recovery in Oceania, though core operating profit rose slightly as mix improved and costs declined, and Asahi is targeting low single-digit revenue and mid-single-digit profit growth in 2026. In Japan & East Asia, the cyberattack has left full-year figures unavailable, but partial data show notable year-on-year sales declines at core domestic units, and management expects segment revenue and profit to fall in 2025 while focusing on brand strengthening, marketing and system restoration in 2026, alongside portfolio reinforcement such as the acquisition of Diageo’s East Africa businesses.
