Banco Bradesco SA ( (BBD) ) has provided an announcement.

On July 29, 2026, Bradesco’s Board of Directors approved a capital increase of up to BRL 10 billion via private subscription of new common and preferred shares, with a minimum subscription threshold of BRL 8 billion. The offering, priced at a discount to market and subject to preemptive rights exercisable from August 6 to September 4, 2026, is intended to fund strategic investments in technology, commercial efficiency, business expansion, and sustainable finance.

The capital increase, backed by a firm commitment from controlling shareholders, is expected to lift Bradesco’s Common Equity Ratio by about 0.9 percentage points on top of a pro forma 12.7% level disclosed in May 2026, reinforcing its capital position. To facilitate shareholder participation in the subscription, the Board also approved advancing payment of BRL 6.5 billion in previously declared interest on shareholders’ equity to September 15, 2026, allowing these funds to be used to pay for new shares and aligning capital strengthening with enhanced liquidity for investors.

Spark’s Take on BBD Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, BBD is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by weak financial quality—especially persistently negative operating and free cash flow and high leverage—alongside bearish technical signals (below major moving averages and negative MACD). These risks are partly offset by relatively attractive valuation (low P/E) and a high dividend yield.
