BBVA reported excellent full-year 2025 results, with attributed profit reaching €10.5 billion, underpinned by strong growth in net interest income and fees and a 16.2% increase in customer loans at constant exchange rates. Risk indicators remained solid, with a low non-performing loan ratio, robust coverage, and cost of risk at 1.39%, while profitability and efficiency were strong, as shown by a ROTE of 19.3%, ROE of 18.4%, and an efficiency ratio of 38.8%. The bank continued to enhance shareholder value, growing tangible book value plus dividends by 12.8% year-on-year, and maintained a solid capital position with a CET1 ratio of 12.7%, comfortably above its target range and regulatory minimums. Operationally, BBVA achieved record customer acquisition in 2025, with 11.5 million new clients and 66% of them coming through digital channels, underscoring its digital leadership. The group also advanced its sustainability strategy, channeling €134 billion in sustainable business during 2025, a 44% increase versus 2024, and setting an ambitious 2025–2029 sustainable business channeling target of €700 billion, reinforcing its positioning in sustainable finance and long-term value creation for stakeholders.
