The latest announcement is out from Brookfield Corporation ( (TSE:BN) ).

On April 16, 2026, Brookfield Corporation announced it had priced a C$500 million offering of medium-term notes maturing April 21, 2036, with a 4.803% annual coupon, alongside a C$250 million re-opening of its 5.399% medium-term notes due December 11, 2055. The 2055 notes will be fungible with an existing C$650 million series, bringing the total to C$900 million, and will be issued at 99.495% of face value plus accrued interest, with the combined notes expected to carry A-range credit ratings from major agencies.

The company plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, reinforcing balance-sheet flexibility as it continues to scale its diversified investment platform. The securities are being sold in Canada via a syndicate led by major domestic banks under an existing base shelf prospectus, highlighting Brookfield’s continued reliance on the Canadian debt capital markets to fund its growth while keeping the offering off U.S. markets due to regulatory constraints.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:BN) stock is a Buy with a C$60.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Brookfield Corporation stock, see the TSE:BN Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on BN Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, BN is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by balance-sheet risk (high leverage), weak cash conversion (negative free cash flow), and a weak technical setup. These are partially offset by a strong and optimistic earnings-call outlook with record distributable earnings, fundraising momentum, and defined growth initiatives, but the high P/E and low dividend yield limit valuation support.
