An update from BXP ( (BXP) ) is now available.
On May 27, 2026, a subsidiary of Boston Properties Limited Partnership agreed to sell its leasehold interest in Sumner Square in Washington, D.C., including three office buildings at 1615 and 1625 M Street NW and 1215 17th Street NW, for a gross purchase price of $63 million, in line with BXP’s September 2025 strategic asset sale plan. The buyer has paid a non‑refundable $6 million deposit toward closing, and because the property’s carrying value exceeds expected net proceeds, BXP and BPLP will record non‑cash impairment losses of about $18 million and $17 million, respectively, in the second quarter of 2026, reducing net income by roughly $0.10 per diluted share or unit for the quarter and full year, though Funds from Operations will be unaffected and the transaction is not yet assured to close.
The most recent analyst rating on (BXP) stock is a Buy with a $75.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on BXP stock, see the BXP Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on BXP Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, BXP is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by high leverage and recently weakening free cash flow despite strong revenue/margin resilience. Offsetting factors include improving operational momentum highlighted on the earnings call (leasing/occupancy and slightly higher guidance), constructive near-term technicals, and an attractive dividend yield, while valuation and financing/dilution considerations keep the upside moderated.
