Canadian Bank of Commerce ( (TSE:CM) ) just unveiled an announcement.

CIBC reported a strong first quarter for 2026, with revenue rising 15% year over year to $8.4 billion and reported net income jumping 43% to $3.1 billion, driven by record revenue across all business units and favourable tax items. Adjusted net income increased 23% to $2.7 billion, return on equity improved, and capital and liquidity metrics remained robust, underscoring the bank’s financial strength and strategic focus on client-driven growth.

Canadian Personal and Business Banking net income rose 25% to $960 million as higher net interest margin and loan growth more than offset increased expenses and credit provisions. Canadian Commercial Banking and Wealth Management net income climbed 9% to $647 million, supported by volume growth, wider margins, and higher fee-based and commission revenue from rising assets under administration and management, despite higher compensation and technology spending.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:CM) stock is a Buy with a C$137.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Canadian Bank of Commerce stock, see the TSE:CM Stock Forecast page.
