Cemex SAB ( (CX) ) has provided an update.
On June 2, 2026, Cemex announced it had priced a U.S.$1.5 billion issuance of 5.750% senior notes due June 5, 2036, to be guaranteed by its U.S. subsidiary Cemex Corp. The notes, to be issued at 99.572% of face value with semi-annual interest payments, are offered under an effective shelf registration in the U.S. but are restricted from retail investors in Mexico, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
Cemex said the net proceeds are intended for general corporate purposes, including the potential repayment of existing indebtedness and other financial obligations, which could help extend its debt maturity profile and support balance sheet flexibility. The transaction, scheduled to close on June 5, 2026 subject to customary conditions, underscores the company’s continued access to international capital markets and may influence its financing costs and leverage metrics over the medium term.
