The latest announcement is out from Truth Social ( (DJT) ).

On August 7, 2026, Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent of Truth Social, moved to refocus its strategy on its media and data operations and its planned merger with fusion energy company TAE. The shift comes under interim CEO Kevin McGurn, who is steering the firm away from aggressively building crypto and financial services products and toward leveraging Truth Social’s audience and data as a distribution and licensing asset.

The company, together with Crypto.com and Yorkville Acquisition Corp., mutually agreed to terminate plans for Trump Media Group CRO Strategy and related services and digital asset products, while allowing Yorkville’s America First ETFs branded as Truth Social Funds to continue. Trump Media and Crypto.com also scaled back plans to embed prediction markets directly into Truth Social, opting instead for a marketing arrangement that promotes Crypto.com’s prediction-market products, reflecting a broader effort to simplify operations and concentrate resources on data APIs and licensing deals.

Spark’s Take on DJT Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, DJT is a Neutral.

The score is held back most by weak financial performance (very large losses and balance-sheet risk), partially offset by improved recent cash-flow momentum. Technicals are moderately supportive with price above key moving averages and a positive MACD, while valuation remains weak due to ongoing losses and no dividend support. Corporate events are mixed, with product/legal positives offset by deal changes and regulatory scrutiny.

More about Truth Social

Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., parent of the social network Truth Social, operates in the digital media and technology sector with a focus on social networking and data distribution. Under interim CEO Kevin McGurn, the company is increasingly positioning itself around its core media platform and data services, while pursuing a pending merger with fusion energy company TAE to expand its strategic footprint beyond social media.

The firm’s recently launched API business serves mainly high-frequency trading firms that ingest Truth Social data for algorithmic trading, with additional demand from news organizations, index providers and potential partners such as large language model developers and prediction-market platforms. This underscores TMTG’s push to monetize its audience and data through licensing and distribution rather than building every financial product in-house.
