Deutsche Lufthansa AG was established in 1953. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in aviation & operates in five business segments: the passenger airline business, logistics, maintenance, repair & overhaul, catering & information technology services. The passenger airline business offers its customers a glbal route network of 274 destinations in more than 106 countries. The logistics segment's own fleet consisted of 18 MD-11F aircraft as well as two of the five Boeing 777Fs on order. This segment also includes the airfreight container management company Jettainer GmbH and the equity investment in the cargo airline Aerologic GmbH. The Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) segment provides services for civil commercial aircraft. It includes 31 technical maintenance operations around the world. The catering segment has 210 catering facilities in 54 countries. The IT Services segment offers a comprehensive range of consultancy and IT services in the aviation industry.
