Factset Research ( (FDS) ) has shared an announcement.
On April 8, 2026, FactSet announced a chief financial officer transition in which current CFO Helen Shan will step down from her role effective April 13, 2026 and move into a transitional position. Shan will remain with the company for a period during which she will receive salary, a fiscal 2026 bonus and standard benefits, and her exit is not related to any disagreement over accounting, financial reporting or disclosures.
Effective April 13, 2026, FactSet’s board appointed Joshua B. Warren as the new CFO, bringing experience from Envestnet, where he led a finance and operations transformation, and from senior strategy roles at BlackRock. His compensation package includes a $500,000 base salary, a target annual bonus equal to 110% of salary, a significant ongoing equity program starting in fiscal 2027 and a sizable new-hire equity and cash award that vests over several years, underscoring the company’s effort to secure long-term strategic financial leadership.
The structured transition, coupled with assurances that Shan’s departure is amicable and unrelated to financial disputes, is intended to preserve continuity in FactSet’s finance function. By recruiting a CFO with deep asset management and fintech credentials, management is signaling a focus on execution, performance management and value creation as FactSet pursues growth in its data and technology-driven businesses.

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, FDS is a Outperform.
The score is driven primarily by strong financial quality (durable margins and robust free cash flow) and a positive earnings update with raised FY2026 guidance. These strengths are tempered by notably weak technicals (downtrend across key moving averages with negative MACD) and a more moderate growth profile, while valuation and dividend provide some support.
