The latest announcement is out from Hudbay Minerals ( (TSE:HBM) ).
Hudbay Minerals has updated its mineral reserves and resources and issued new production guidance through 2028, outlining a significant uplift in copper and gold output from its core Americas portfolio. The company expects consolidated copper production to average 147,000 tonnes annually over the next three years, rising to 159,000 tonnes in 2027–2028, while gold production is projected to average 243,000 ounces, supported by optimization projects and new ore sources.

Hudbay is also advancing a large exploration program in Snow Lake and progressing the Copper World project toward a 2026 sanctioning decision, bolstered by a $600 million joint venture with Mitsubishi, positioning the company for higher long-term copper exposure and enhanced growth potential for stakeholders.
