ICICI Bank Redeems Strategic Investments Fund Units, Removes Vehicle From Group Accounts

Icici Bank ( (IBN) ) has provided an update.

On March 25, 2026, ICICI Bank disclosed that ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, its wholly owned subsidiary, had been managing ICICI Strategic Investments Fund, whose financial results were fully consolidated with the bank because ICICI Bank held 100% of the fund’s units. The bank announced that all residual units of the fund were redeemed that day, meaning the fund no longer qualifies as a group entity, a move that will remove its financials from ICICI Bank’s consolidated accounts and slightly simplify the group’s reporting structure for investors and regulators.

The change reflects an internal restructuring of ICICI Bank’s investment holdings rather than an operational shift in its core lending and banking franchise. For stakeholders, the deconsolidation may marginally alter reported group metrics and enhance transparency around the performance of the bank’s principal businesses, while signaling a continued focus on streamlining its portfolio of controlled investment vehicles.

The most recent analyst rating on (IBN) stock is a Buy with a $30.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Icici Bank stock, see the IBN Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on IBN Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, IBN is a Neutral.

The score is driven primarily by strong profitability/growth and a solid balance-sheet profile, partially offset by weak operating/free cash flow. The latest earnings call supports the outlook with stable margins, healthy growth, and strong capital/liquidity, but regulatory provisioning and cost/subsidiary headwinds temper confidence. Technicals and valuation are supportive but not decisive.
