ING Groep N.V. reported on 14 July 2026 that it repurchased 950,000 shares during the week of 6–10 July 2026 as part of its €1.0 billion share buyback programme launched on 30 April 2026. The weekly purchases were executed at an average price of €28.41 per share, for a total outlay of €26,985,940.
The bank said the buyback is intended to reduce its share capital, and that to date it has repurchased 14,960,000 shares at an average price of €26.23, representing €392,360,769.50 in total and about 39.24% of the programme’s planned value. The ongoing buyback underlines ING’s capital-management strategy and may support earnings per share and shareholder returns, while signaling confidence in its balance sheet and long-term outlook.
