Lithium Argentina ( (TSE:LAR) ) just unveiled an update.

Lithium Argentina reported strong preliminary 2025 operational results from its Cauchari-Olaroz brine operation, with annual lithium carbonate production reaching about 34,100 tonnes, at the top end of guidance, and record fourth-quarter output running at 97% of nameplate capacity. Cash operating costs in the fourth quarter are expected to fall below $6,000 per tonne, improving on the prior quarter and helping the operation reduce net debt by $26 million, distribute $15 million to both partners, and end the year with more than $150 million in liquidity. The company has submitted environmental and RIGI applications for a Stage 2 expansion that would add 45,000 tonnes per year of capacity at Cauchari-Olaroz and is finalizing a RIGI application for its PPG project, underscoring its push to scale production in Argentina’s growing lithium sector. Alongside the operational progress, Lithium Argentina announced governance-focused leadership changes, promoting Alec Meikle to President to drive strategic execution and corporate development, while Executive Chairman John Kanellitsas transitions to non-executive Chairman, moves aimed at strengthening management depth and clarifying roles as the company pursues long-term growth.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:LAR) stock is a Hold with a C$4.25 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Lithium Argentina stock, see the TSE:LAR Stock Forecast page.
