Lithium Argentina ( (TSE:LAR) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Lithium Argentina AG has secured $220 million in new unsecured debt facilities for its Cauchari-Olaroz lithium brine operation in Argentina, comprising a $50 million two-year facility and a $170 million three-year facility priced at under 5 percent with a syndicate of international banks. Backed by a guarantee from Ganfeng Lithium and allowing drawdowns until the second quarter of 2027, the financing reflects lender confidence in the asset’s cash generation and the strength of the partnership.
The company says the new facilities, structured at the operating asset level, will improve its capital efficiency, support further distributions from Cauchari-Olaroz and reduce reliance on corporate-level debt, providing tax and foreign-exchange management benefits. The funding underpins the planned Stage 2 expansion, which targets an additional 45,000 tonnes per year of lithium carbonate equivalent, with permitting underway and an updated technical development plan expected in the coming months, signaling a significant scale-up of its production capacity.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:LAR) stock is a Buy
