The latest update is out from LG Display ( (LPL) ).

On February 27, 2026, LG Display reported that its external auditor, Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers, issued unqualified opinions on the group’s consolidated financial statements and on internal control over financial reporting for the years ended December 31, 2025 and 2024, confirming compliance with Korean IFRS. The audited results show a sharp turnaround in 2025, with operating income swinging to a profit of W516.98 billion and net income to W303.81 billion from heavy losses in 2024, alongside reduced assets and liabilities and slightly lower revenues, indicating successful restructuring and improved operational efficiency that strengthen the company’s financial footing and risk profile for stakeholders.

Total assets declined from W32.86 trillion in 2024 to W26.92 trillion in 2025 and total liabilities fell from W24.79 trillion to W19.08 trillion, while shareholders’ equity eased modestly to W7.84 trillion, keeping the equity-to-capital ratio above 300%. The audit identified the impairment test for goodwill allocated to the display cash-generating unit, amounting to W28.31 billion, as a key audit matter due to the significant judgment involved, but the unqualified opinion suggests that management’s valuation assumptions and internal controls were assessed as reasonable under prevailing standards, offering investors greater confidence in the reported recovery and asset quality.

The most recent analyst rating on (LPL) stock is a Hold with a $5.50 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on LG Display stock, see the LPL Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on LPL Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, LPL is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by weak financial quality (thin profitability, inconsistent revenue, and still-elevated leverage) and soft technical momentum. Offsetting factors include improving cash generation and a moderately reasonable P/E, while earnings-call commentary shows meaningful operational progress but cautious near-term guidance.
