Mondelez International ( (MDLZ) ) has provided an announcement.

On June 15, 2026, Mondelēz International announced that seasoned consumer-goods executive Amit Banati will become Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2026, reporting to Chair and CEO Dirk Van de Put. He succeeds long-serving finance chief Luca Zaramella, who remains Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for global commercial operations, including four geographic regions and core sales, marketing and supply-chain functions.

Banati, 57, joins from Kenvue and previously held senior finance and regional leadership roles at Kellanova and Kellogg, as well as earlier positions at Procter & Gamble, Cadbury Schweppes and Kraft Foods, giving him deep emerging-market and snacking-sector experience. His appointment comes with a $1.05 million base salary, substantial incentive and long-term equity opportunities, and a make-whole cash award of up to $7 million, underscoring Mondelēz’s focus on securing high-profile financial leadership to support its strategic growth agenda and sustain profitable expansion for investors and other stakeholders.

Spark’s Take on MDLZ Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, MDLZ is a Neutral.

The score is driven primarily by pressured fundamentals—material margin compression and weaker recent free-cash-flow trajectory—partly balanced by stable leverage and positive cash generation. Technicals are supportive with the stock trading above major moving averages and positive momentum. Valuation is a headwind due to a high P/E, while the earnings call was constructive on growth engines but cautious on near-term margin and cost risks, limiting upside.
