Manulife Financial ( (TSE:MFC) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Manulife Financial Corporation has declared a first-quarter ordinary cash dividend of CAD 0.485 per common share for the financial year ending 31 December 2026. For Hong Kong shareholders, the dividend will be paid in Hong Kong dollars at HKD 2.754267 per share, based on an updated exchange rate of CAD 1 to HKD 5.6789.
The shares will trade ex-dividend on 28 May 2026, with a record date of 29 May 2026, and the dividend is scheduled for payment on 22 June 2026. Non-resident Canadian shareholders will generally face a 25% withholding tax on the dividend, although reduced rates may apply where a tax treaty with Canada is in place, which is relevant for international investors assessing their net returns.
