Mitsubishi Heavy Industries ( (JP:7011) ) has shared an update.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has retroactively disclosed that it significantly increased the capital of its consolidated subsidiary, Mitsubishi Power India Private Limited, in August 2025, raising the unit’s share capital above 10% of the parent’s level and thereby classifying it as a specified subsidiary. The move, aimed at strengthening the Indian unit’s financial base for more stable operations in thermal power systems, follows a period of sustained losses at the subsidiary and was initially omitted from timely disclosure, although MHI says the transaction will not affect its consolidated earnings for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
Mitsubishi Power India, based in New Delhi and 99.99% owned by MHI, focuses on sales, installation, and services for gas turbine combined cycle and steam power products, and its capital rose by 2,000 million rupees to 16,957 million rupees as of August 2025, with a further increase taking it to 18,457 million rupees later that year. Despite the expanded financial support, the subsidiary’s recent track record of negative net assets and continued losses underscores MHI’s commitment to shoring up its Indian power business while signaling tighter oversight after the delayed disclosure of this material change in status.
The most recent analyst rating on (JP:7011) stock is a Buy with a Yen5300.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Mitsubishi Heavy Industries stock, see the JP:7011 Stock Forecast page.
