J.P. Morgan Sticks to Its Buy Rating for Merck & Company (MRK)

J.P. Morgan analyst Chris Schott maintained a Buy rating on Merck & Company yesterday and set a price target of $150.00. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $128.37.

According to TipRanks, Schott is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 5.7% and a 57.29% success rate. Schott covers the Healthcare sector, focusing on stocks such as Pfizer, Eli Lilly & Co, and Gilead Sciences.

In addition to J.P. Morgan, Merck & Company also received a Buy from Barclays’s Emily Field in a report issued on August 5. However, on the same day, Berenberg Bank maintained a Hold rating on Merck & Company (NYSE: MRK).

Based on Merck & Company’s latest earnings release for the quarter ending March 31, the company reported a quarterly revenue of $16.29 billion and a GAAP net loss of $4.24 billion. In comparison, last year the company earned a revenue of $15.62 billion and had a net profit of $5.08 billion
