Newell Brands ( (NWL) ) has shared an announcement.

On July 30, 2026, Newell Brands entered into a new five-year, asset-based revolving credit facility of up to $800 million with a bank syndicate led by JPMorgan Chase, replacing its prior revolving credit agreement from August 31, 2022. The facility, secured by a first-priority lien on certain assets and guaranteed by select subsidiaries, carries variable interest based on SOFR or other benchmark rates, commitment fees on unused capacity, and includes customary covenants and events of default.

The agreement allows an uncommitted accordion feature of up to an additional $500 million, providing Newell Brands with expanded liquidity for working capital and general corporate purposes. On the closing date, the company drew $490 million under the new facility to fully refinance and replace its existing revolver, a move that reshapes its capital structure and reinforces access to multi-currency funding while imposing a minimum fixed charge coverage ratio during periods of tighter availability or default.

Spark’s Take on NWL Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, NWL is a Neutral.

The score reflects a mix of stabilization and ongoing financial risk. The biggest constraint is weak financial performance driven by continued losses and high leverage, partly offset by positive (though limited) free cash flow. Earnings-call guidance improved and operational momentum is strengthening, but near-term cash strain and tariff/commodity/diesel headwinds keep risk elevated. Technicals are moderately supportive versus longer-term averages, while valuation is helped by a high dividend yield but limited by negative earnings.
