An announcement from News Corp ( (NWSA) ) is now available.

News Corp has notified the ASX that, under its existing stock repurchase authorization, it may buy back up to an aggregate of US$1 billion of its Nasdaq‑listed Class A and Class B common shares. The company disclosed that no ASX‑listed CDIs will be repurchased under this program, which is structured as an “other buy‑back” and is not subject to additional shareholder approval.

Filed as a daily buy‑back notification dated 10 April 2026, the update reiterates that the purpose of the 2025 Repurchase Program is to enhance shareholder value by retiring equity using cash in U.S. dollars. The scale and flexibility of the program, alongside the use of Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC as broker, underscore News Corp’s continued focus on capital management and returning funds to investors within regulatory parameters on both Nasdaq and the ASX.

The most recent analyst rating on (NWSA) stock is a Buy with a $27.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on News Corp stock, see the NWSA Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on NWSA Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, NWSA is a Outperform.

The score is driven primarily by improved profitability and balance-sheet strength, reinforced by a positive earnings call with upbeat free-cash-flow and buyback commentary. These are tempered by weaker valuation (high P/E, low yield), only moderate cash-flow quality, and mixed longer-term technical trend positioning.
