NexGen Energy ( (TSE:NXE) ) has shared an update.

NexGen Energy Ltd. reported that its audit committee conducted a comprehensive request-for-proposal process for external audit services as part of its corporate governance practices. Following this review, the board asked KPMG LLP to resign and approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company’s new auditor, effective March 5, 2026.

The company stated that KPMG’s audit opinions on NexGen’s consolidated financial statements for the years ended December 31, 2025 and 2024 were unmodified and that there were no reportable events between NexGen and the former auditor. Both KPMG and PwC confirmed their agreement with the company’s change-of-auditor notice filed with Canadian securities regulators, signaling an orderly transition with no disclosed accounting or audit disputes.

Spark’s Take on TSE:NXE Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:NXE is a Neutral.

The score is driven primarily by weak financial performance from a pre-revenue model with persistent losses and cash burn, partially offset by a strengthened balance sheet. Technicals add support with a clear uptrend and positive momentum, while the earnings call contributes positively due to improved funding and constructive market/contracting commentary, tempered by federal approval dependency. Valuation remains a drag due to negative earnings and no dividend support.
