Obsidian Energy ( (TSE:OBE) ) has shared an update.
On June 23, 2026, Obsidian Energy increased the borrowing capacity of its syndicated credit facility to $275 million from $235 million, while keeping the revolving period and final maturity dates unchanged at May 31, 2027 and May 31, 2028. Management said the expanded facility strengthens the balance sheet and provides added financial flexibility as the company advances its capital plans.
The additional liquidity is intended to support the closing of Obsidian’s previously announced Belly River acquisition, expected on or about June 30, 2026, and to fund its second-half capital program. The deal is set to expand Obsidian’s operational footprint in the Willesden Green area, potentially reinforcing its position in Alberta’s oil and gas sector and offering incremental scale for stakeholders through a larger, more concentrated asset base.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:OBE) stock is a Buy
with a C$19.00 price target.
