Obsidian Energy ( (TSE:OBE) ) has issued an update.

Obsidian Energy reported strong 2025 reserves results, highlighted by reserve replacement of 118 percent on a proved developed producing basis, 185 percent on a proved basis and 235 percent on a proved plus probable basis, all adjusted for asset sales. Despite the transformative disposition of its Pembina asset—which removed roughly 35 percent of reserve volumes but more than halved decommissioning liabilities and strengthened the balance sheet—the company more than replaced production organically through drilling and field extensions in Peace River and Willesden Green, including new Belly River wells at Willesden Green and initial waterflood bookings in the Clearwater at Peace River. While the Pembina sale and a weaker oil price outlook reduced the before-tax NPV10 of reserves across categories, Obsidian offset some of the impact through reserve additions and share buybacks, and moderated future development capital to align with current commodity conditions, supporting a five-year program of about $243 million annually on a 2P basis as it expands its inventory of undeveloped locations.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:OBE) stock is a Hold with a C$10.50 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Obsidian Energy stock, see the TSE:OBE Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on TSE:OBE Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:OBE is a Neutral.

The score is mainly held back by weak financial performance (losses, declining TTM revenue, and slightly negative free cash flow) and limited valuation support (negative P/E). A manageable balance sheet with low leverage and steady operating cash flow, plus broadly neutral technical indicators, provide partial offset.
