POSCO ( (PKX) ) has shared an update.

On August 7, 2026, POSCO HOLDINGS INC. reported an adjustment to the exchange price of its foreign currency-denominated exchangeable bonds issued on September 1, 2021, following a cash dividend for the second quarter of 2026. The exchange price will be reduced from 419,025 won to 414,343 won per share, increasing the number of shares available upon exchange from 87,977 to 88,971, with the new terms taking effect on August 25, 2026, immediately after the August 24 record date.

The company said the adjustment is made under the bond terms that require recalculating the exchange price after events such as cash dividends, using an average of the past 20 trading days’ closing prices and subtracting the per-share dividend. The move slightly enhances the position of bondholders by allowing them to obtain more shares upon exchange while modestly increasing potential equity dilution for existing shareholders, but aligns with standard market practice for maintaining economic neutrality after dividends.

Spark’s Take on PKX Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, PKX is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by compressed profitability and persistently negative free cash flow, despite a manageable leverage profile. Technicals also remain weak with the stock below key moving averages and negative MACD. Partially offsetting these are a moderate dividend yield and a cautiously constructive earnings call that points to incremental improvement and segment turnarounds, albeit with meaningful near-term operational and macro risks.
