Profile

Petronas Gas Bhd was incorporated on May 23, 1983. The Company is engaged in the processing and transmission of natural gas. It provides services for separating natural gas into its components and the storage, transportation, and distribution of such components. The Company's Plant Operations Division operates the six gas processing plants in the state of Terengganu which are divided into two complexes - Gas Processing Plant A in Kertih and Gas Processing Plant B in Paka. With total combined sales gas processing capacity of over 2,000 million standard cubic feet per day, these gas processing plants process natural gas into sales gas and other by-products such as ethane, propane and butane to be transmitted to company's customers in power and non-power sectors via company's Peninsular Gas Utilization pipeline network. The Company's Gas Transmission Division operates the Peninsular Gas Utilization pipeline network by managing the supply of gas to company's customers throughout Malaysia. The Company's business portfolio is divided into four major divisions - Plant Operations, Transmission Operations, Centralized Utility Facilities and Technical and Facilities Development. The Centralized Utility Facilities division supports the gas value chain by supplying industrial utilities to petrochemical plants operating in Kertih, Terengganu and Gebeng, Pahang. The Technical and Facilities Development division is a technical services outfit for the Company is engaged in engineering and project management.
