Unlocking Hidden Diamond Potential in Chile

Diamonds are valuable in terms of their intrinsic properties and as a powerful symbol and commodity in business. In addition to jewelry, they are used in cutting, grinding and drilling due to their hardness. Shares of this miner are higher in afternoon trade after completing the initial phase of drilling at a site known for its geological richness.

San Lorenzo Gold Corp. announced in a press release today that the initial phase of the recently announced diamond drilling program—on the “Cerro Blanco” target of their Salvador Gold/Copper Project in Chile—has been successfully completed.

The firm stated that they were pleased with the progress at Cerro Blanco, where drilling has uncovered significant sulphide mineralization at depths of 190 and 140 meters. These findings align with IP chargeability anomalies, indicating that IP will be a valuable tool for future exploration. The anomaly extends beyond the current drilling area, suggesting the need for further drilling to assess the zone’s full potential.

The Salvadora project is located within Chile's mega-porphyry belt, an area rich in mineral resources. The discovery of diamonds near this area could expand exploration into previously underexplored or untested areas for diamonds.
