Profile

SNC-Lavalin Group is incorporated in May 18, 1967. The Company provides engineering and construction, operations and maintenance expertise through its network of offices located across Canada and in over 40 other countries. The Company engages in design, engineering and construction, maintenance, and project management for governments, private enterprises, and public/private partnerships. The Company's segments include Resources, Environment and Water (REW); Power; Infrastructure. The REW segment is further divided into Mining & Metallurgy, Oil & Gas and Environment & Water. Mining & Metallurgy includes all mineral and metal recovery processes, including mine infrastructure development, mineral processing, smelting, refining, mine closure and reclamation, mine and tailings management, as well as production of fertilizers and sulphur product. Oil & Gas includes projects in the areas of bitumen production, heavy oil production, onshore and offshore oil and gas, upgrading and refining, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, biofuels, gas processing, liquefied natural gas plants and re-gasification terminals, coal gasification, carbon capture and utilization, transportation and storage, sustaining capital, pipelines, terminals and pump stations. Environment & Water includes engineering activities in the areas of acoustics, air quality and climate change, impact assessments and community engagement, geo-environmental services, site assessments and remediation, risk assessments and water resource management. Power segment includes projects in hydro, thermal and nuclear power generation, energy from waste, green energy solutions, and transmission and distribution. Unlike REW Infrastructure segment is divided into Infrastructure & Construction that includes projects in sectors, including hospitals, mass transit, heavy rail, roads, bridges, airports, ports and harbours,facilities architecture and engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical), industrial (pharmaceutical, agrifood, life sciences, automation, industrial processes),geotechnical engineering and materials testing, as well as water infrastructure and treatment facilities. Operations & Maintenance which consists of providing operations, maintenance and logistics solutions for buildings, power plants, water supply and treatment systems, desalination plants, postal services, broadcasting facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, highways, bridges, light rail transit systems, airports, ships, oil and gas facilities, and camps for construction operations and the military.
