Virgin Galactic Holdings ( (SPCE) ) just unveiled an update.

Virgin Galactic said that on May 19, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York granted preliminary approval to a proposed settlement of consolidated stockholder derivative suits alleging fiduciary breaches tied to events from July 10, 2019 through at least October 14, 2021. The company, whose current and former officers and directors deny wrongdoing, has notified shareholders that a final hearing is set for July 28, 2026, and that the deal includes $2.75 million in insurer-funded payments to Virgin Galactic, governance reforms to be maintained for three years, and court-approved attorneys’ fees, with no individual cash recovery for stockholders because the actions are derivative rather than class actions.

The most recent analyst rating on (SPCE) stock is a Hold with a $3.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Virgin Galactic Holdings stock, see the SPCE Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on SPCE Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, SPCE is a Neutral.

The score is held down primarily by very weak financial performance (minimal/declining revenue, large ongoing losses, and heavy cash burn with ongoing funding needs). Technical indicators provide some support via improving momentum, and the earnings call adds moderate positives from clearer operational milestones and commercialization plans, but these are balanced by significant liquidity and execution risk plus very limited near-term revenue.
