Spire Updates Segment Reporting, Discontinues Marketing Operations

Tipranks - Thu Jul 9, 4:06PM CDT

TipRanks Welcomes a New ETF – NYSE:RANK

The latest announcement is out from Spire ( (SR) ).

In the second quarter of fiscal 2026, Spire reclassified the operations of Spire Marketing and Spire Storage as discontinued operations following recent asset dispositions. At the same time, it revised segment reporting, moving Spire MoGas and Spire STL Pipeline from the Midstream segment into Other to align financial presentation with the reshaped portfolio.

The company has recast its fiscal 2025 quarterly results to reflect these discontinued operations and segment changes, emphasizing that the adjustments are presentational only and do not alter consolidated net income, assets, equity or cash flows. Spire has furnished an unaudited investor presentation of the recast continuing-operations earnings for fiscal 2025, making it available to investors through its website under Regulation FD.

The most recent analyst rating on (SR) stock is a Buy

Spark’s Take on SR Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, SR is a Neutral.

The score is driven mainly by steady underlying profitability and improved leverage but constrained by persistently negative free cash flow and weak revenue momentum. Valuation is supportive (moderate P/E and strong dividend yield), while the technical picture is weak with the stock trading below key moving averages. Earnings-call and recent divestiture activity are constructive for longer-term visibility, though near-term regulatory/weather and financing-related uncertainties remain.
