TotalEnergies SE ( (FR:TTE) ) just unveiled an update.
TotalEnergies EP Congo, operator of the offshore Moho license in the Republic of the Congo, has announced a significant hydrocarbon discovery on the Moho G structure following the drilling of the MHNM‑6 exploration well. The find, in good‑quality Albian reservoirs, complements an earlier Moho F discovery and is estimated to bring combined recoverable resources close to 100 million barrels.
These resources are planned to be developed via a short‑cycle, cost‑effective tie‑back to the existing Moho infrastructure, which currently includes two floating production units, Alima and Likouf, producing around 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. By leveraging existing facilities and its exploration expertise, TotalEnergies aims to add value‑accretive production in Congo, strengthening its upstream portfolio and reinforcing its position in West African offshore developments alongside partners Trident Energy and SNPC.
