The latest announcement is out from TotalEnergies SE ( (FR:TTE) ).
TotalEnergies has signed a 10‑year contract to supply 800 GWh of renewable electricity to SWM’s three paper plants in France from around 50 MW of its existing French renewable assets, delivering so‑called “clean firm power” with a stable, low‑carbon profile tailored to the needs of energy‑intensive industrial customers. The deal will secure roughly half of SWM’s French power demand from renewable sources through 2036, giving the paper manufacturer cost predictability and supporting its Scope 1 and 2 emissions‑reduction goals, while reinforcing TotalEnergies’ position as a key provider of bespoke decarbonisation solutions to large corporates, alongside similar power supply agreements already signed with major global technology, industrial and materials companies.
