Uranium Energy Begins Production at Burke Hollow Uranium Mine

Tipranks - Thu Apr 9, 4:36PM CDT

Easter Sale - 70% Off TipRanks

The latest update is out from Uranium Energy ( (UEC) ).

On April 8, 2026, Uranium Energy Corp announced it had received approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and begun production at its Burke Hollow project in South Texas, described as the world’s newest in-situ recovery uranium mine. The site is also the first new U.S. ISR uranium operation in more than a decade and will feed output to UEC’s Hobson Central Processing Plant, which is licensed for up to 4 million pounds of uranium per year.

The startup of Burke Hollow, the largest ISR uranium discovery in the U.S. in the past decade, marks a key scale-up of UEC’s domestic production base and gives the company two operating ISR hub-and-spoke platforms alongside Christensen Ranch in Wyoming. With only about half of Burke Hollow’s 20,000-acre property explored and additional wellfields planned, the move strengthens UEC’s role in the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain and aligns with federal and Texas support for expanding domestic uranium production and energy security.

The most recent analyst rating on (UEC) stock is a Hold with a $13.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Uranium Energy stock, see the UEC Stock Forecast page.
