Universal Insurance Holdings ( (UVE) ) just unveiled an update.

On June 16, 2026, Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. privately issued $100 million of 7.75% Senior Unsecured Notes due 2031 to institutional accredited investors and qualified institutional buyers, with proceeds earmarked for general corporate purposes, including redeeming its 5.625% Senior Notes due 2026. The notes, issued under an indenture with UMB Bank National Association as trustee, carry financial covenants such as maintaining cash equal to 12 months of interest and a cap on consolidated indebtedness, and include provisions restricting dividends upon events of default.

In connection with the June 16 issuance, the company entered into registration rights arrangements to later exchange the privately placed notes for registered securities with substantially the same terms, with potential interest step-ups if obligations are not met. The 2031 Notes feature structured call options allowing early redemption at specified premiums before and after June 30, 2029, have ratings-based interest adjustments, and are unsecured obligations of the parent company only, while, on June 17, 2026, the company completed the full redemption of its 2026 Notes at par plus accrued interest, thereby extending its debt maturity profile.

Spark’s Take on UVE Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, UVE is a Outperform.

UVE scores well on fundamentals and valuation: strong cash flow and improved profitability with low leverage support a solid financial profile, and the low P/E adds meaningful upside appeal. The latest earnings call reinforced strong underwriting results and capital/reinsurance stability, while the main constraints on the score are mixed technical momentum and concerns around the recent TTM revenue decline and expense pressure.
