Venture Global Secures $1.5 Billion LNG Fleet Financing

TipRanks' Prime Week Sale - 70% Off

Venture Global, Inc. Class A ( (VG) ) has issued an update.

On June 26, 2026, Venture Global’s wholly owned subsidiary Venture Global Shipping Holdings, LLC entered into a senior secured term loan facility of up to $1.5 billion arranged by Deutsche Bank and ING, maturing in 2032 and backed by nine LNG carriers and related collateral. The proceeds will support general corporate purposes, including reimbursing the sponsor for prior vessel acquisition payments, funding reserve accounts and paying fees, tightening the group’s capital structure around its expanding LNG shipping fleet under covenants that limit additional debt, dividends and certain transactions while imposing coverage and collateral tests.

The loan commitments are capped at the lesser of 65% of the appraised value of the vessels or $1.5 billion, with initial and subsequent tranches tied to vessel deliveries expected in the second half of 2026. The facility, carrying interest at Term SOFR plus 2.00% and amortized quarterly on a 20‑year age‑adjusted profile, enhances Venture Global’s dedicated vessel financing while securing lenders with ship mortgages, charter assignments and guarantees from vessel-owning subsidiaries, and allows prepayment without penalty alongside mandatory prepayments upon charter termination.

Spark’s Take on VG Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, VG is a Outperform.

The score is driven by strong profitability and a very positive outlook from the latest earnings call (notably the large EBITDA guidance raise and improved contracting), supported by attractive headline valuation metrics. The main offset is financial risk from high leverage and persistently negative free cash flow, while technical signals are mixed and do not add strong directional conviction.
