Waste Connections ( (TSE:WCN) ) has shared an update.
On July 27, 2026, Waste Connections entered into an underwriting agreement to issue C$300 million of 4.200% senior notes due 2033 and C$400 million of 4.550% senior notes due 2036 in a Canadian dollar-denominated offering. The notes, issued as senior unsecured obligations, are being sold via a registered public offering in the U.S. and a private placement in all Canadian provinces, with underwriters that also participate in the company’s revolving credit facility.
Waste Connections announced that it intends to use the net proceeds from this offering, together with cash on hand, to repay a portion of the Canadian dollar borrowings outstanding under its revolving credit facility. The transaction, subject to market and closing conditions, is expected to refinance shorter-term bank debt with longer-dated capital markets funding, indirectly providing underwriters’ affiliates with a share of the proceeds and further diversifying the company’s funding base.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:WCN) stock is a Hold
with a C$187.00 price target.

Spark’s Take on WCN Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, WCN is a Outperform.
The score is driven primarily by solid underlying financial performance (healthy margins and strong cash generation) and a constructive earnings update with raised 2026 revenue/EBITDA guidance and improving operational execution. Offsetting this are elevated leverage trends, a premium valuation (high P/E with a low yield), and only moderate technical setup with some near-term softness versus the 20-day average.
