Fraud across Canada has surged in recent years. As scams become more sophisticated, even consumers who consider themselves cautious and tech-savvy are finding themselves caught up.

The latest data from the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre showed that victims reported more than $704-million in losses in 2025, with these figures representing just the tip of the iceberg. The centre estimates that only about 5 to 10 per cent of fraud is reported.

For a future story, The Globe and Mail is looking for people who have lost money to fraudsters and are willing to speak about their experience to help others recognize the red flags. Were you targeted by an investment scam? Did fraudsters impersonate a bank or employer? What did you learn from the experience?

Share your story in the form below or by sending us an e-mail at audience@globeandmail.com.
