The Globe’s personal finance team is looking for young people and new graduates who need help getting their careers started.Cole Burston/The Globe and Mail

Even when times are good, young people often struggle to land their first job. But the youth employment rate (for those 15 to 24) recently rose to the highest level in about 15 years, excluding the first years of the pandemic.

Young Canadians and fresh graduates across the country are facing one of the toughest labour markets in years, driven by factors including an uncertain economic outlook because of the U.S.-driven trade war and the rise of artificial intelligence.

The Globe and Mail’s personal finance team is looking to speak with young Canadians and new graduates who are having trouble getting their careers started. We’ll ask career experts to look at your goals, qualifications and skills to provide advice on what steps you can take.

Share your experience in the form below to participate or send an e-mail to editor April Fong at afong@globeandmail.com. Tell us about what career goal you’re working toward, what you’ve tried in your job search so far, and describe your skills and qualifications (you can even include a link to your LinkedIn profile).
