I get the occasional blemish on my body (chest area, shoulders, back). What's the best way to get rid of them - and to make sure they don't come back?!
Body acne - or "backne," as it's often referred to - occurs more often than people are willing to discuss, but it can be prevented quite easily. Just as you would use certain products for facial acne, try one that contains a mild form of salicylic acid, such as Neutrogena's Body Clear body wash, which is specifically formulated for the back, chest and shoulders. It's also oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it won't clog pores. To help prevent blemishes from returning, you can opt to wear more breathable materials such as cotton, cleanse and exfoliate the common breakout areas after workouts and use an oil-free moisturizer.
