Party photos of the week: Rethink at the Races
Walking into Sunday’s Queen’s Plate event almost felt like the polo scene in Pretty Woman. Oversized hats, full skirts, and dapper gents roamed about the Woodbine Race Track for Rethink Breast Cancer’s annual summer fundraiser. More than 250 guests – the ladies in fascinators and the men in suspenders – dressed the part for a day of vintage garden cocktails and gambling. It was the men, in fact, who went above and beyond and gave the southern belles a run for their money, much like the horses did.Annie DeCoteau Vogelsang, the young daughter of Rethink’s founder MJ DeCoteau, charmed the crowd – and horses graced her dress, too. The day at the races raised more than $60,000 for the charity for younger women affected by breast cancer. parties@globeandmail.com
