Party photos of the week: Uncrate India launch
It was like walking into an Indian bazaar in early April at Holt Renfrew’s Uncrate India launch. The project, part of the luxury retailer’s new H Project, was a collaboration between visionary Alexandra Weston and Waris Ahluwalia, jewellery designer and founder of House of Waris (and a frequent star in Wes Anderson films). From block-printed textiles to hand-woven rugs, the artisanal collection is now available at Holt Renfrew stores across the country. To kick off the partnership, Holt Renfrew hosted a Bollywood bash for 800 at their Bloor Street store where the city’s most fashionable donned saris and vied for Mr. Ahluwalia’s attention, who made the trip up from New York. parties@globeandmail.com
