On January 11 at the Gardiner Museum, Scott Thornley celebrated the launch of his first novel, Erasing Memory. Mr. Thornley, president of Scott Thornley + Company design firm, has worked in the advertising industry for over 20 years, won more than 150 international design awards (rumour has it he's responsible for the book cover) and was inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts. As Mr. Thornley adds novelist to his resume, he enters the Canadian literature club with a personal welcome by author Margaret Atwood, who spoke at the reception.
