The sweet name is a tribute to Elderton co-founder Lorraine Ashmead. There's a touch of sweetness in the rich fruit, too. This is an inspired, offbeat red blend. Shiraz provides wine-gum-like fruit, but then tannic cabernet adds structure and an attractively earthy, almost leafy note, with merlot contributing soft polish. It should age well for six to eight years and would pair well with grilled red meats.
