Velvety and full-bodied, it's a single-vineyard gem from Sonoma County and it could teach a course on harmony and poise. The flavours suggest cassis, cigar tobacco, licorice and spice. The ripeness and acidity are spot-on. Though big, it's not your overextracted, flammable-alcohol fruit bomb. Lovable now, it will be more beautiful in 15 years. Available in Ontario.
