Chapel Hill was founded in a building that had been the Christian Bible Church in McLaren Vale. Hence the religious overtones of many of the wine names, such as The Chosen, The Prophet and The Devil. As befits its name, this is a lighthearted, easy-drinking shiraz, not something calling for genuflection or too much reflection. Expect a concentrated core of sweet berries and currant jam with whiffs of licorice, black pepper and new leather; $19.99 in B.C., $19.99 in New Brunswick, $19.99 in Nova Scotia.
