Full-bodied and polished in texture, this is one structured red showing great fruit purity and good ripeness for a grape sometimes considered overly herbal. Lapostolle does it right – and at a fine price. I love the subtle charred-wood, campfire note lurking in the background as well as the tight, bright acidity. Available in Ontario.
